Do high & low styles get along?

I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately on how the high & lows within each style communicate with each other.  I’m also asked about two of the same style?

The most popular question has been, “Do two High Ds communicate well?”

Hence the idea for the next 4 clues!
Let’s start with Compliance since they are always last on the DISC list. (Sorry Ds, you will have to wait & that’s not a favorite thing of yours :-).
High C – High C
High C – Low C
Low C – Low C
  • They have a great relationship because they both share the tendency to follow process or policy.
  • Both prefer to gather data and thoroughly examine facts before a decision.
  • Because both are task-oriented, the area of potential conflict lies within the scope of compliance and risk-taking.
  • The risk-averse high C competes with the low C’s need for independence, which can cause a considerable amount of tension.
  • Two low Cs will break the rules and expect forgiveness. They both feel rules are there for them to figure a way around them.
  • They will aggressively tackle problems with little regard for possible ramifications of a quick decision.
  • Both can be stubborn and independent so they may need to take extra time listening and valuing each other’s opinion.
Conflict unlikely Conflict likely Conflict possible
What else can create a symbiotic relationship or have the potential to create conflict?
A difference in MOTIVATORS!
Cheers,
Jennifer
